Listen on to find out what she has to say.
About Abiola Bello
Abiola Bello, ‘A. Bello’ is a young author from North London. She wrote her first novel at aged 8, where she fought monsters and dragons daily. She was first published at aged 12 for a poem she wrote in school.
A. Bello, wrote the first in the Emily Knight saga when she was 12 years old. Her intention was to fill in a gaping hole in children’s fiction for an inspirational, strong, black female protagonist (who can fight like a man!)
Ms Bello has received rave reviews for her debut book as well as success with her Emily Knight Warriors pop-up book, that is released every August. She is the founder of The Lil’ Author School and co-founder of The Author School. She has also appeared in Female First Magazine, The Mirror and BBC1XTRA to name a few.
Abiola is one of a few authors to self publish a book and sign to a literary agent – Raimondi and Campbell Literary Agency.
Abiola is a professional Street Dancer and teacher. She has performed for 10 years in venues like The Barbican, Sadlers Wells, Hammersmith Apollo and The Royal Opera House. She has appeared on Got To Dance, BBC 1 The Apprentice and Street Dance AllStars The Movie and teaches Street Dance to young people around London.
