I stumbled upon an article by BuzzFeed asking “Which Podcasts Do You Think People Should Listen To In 2019?” As host of The Segilola Salami Show, I would really like my podcast to be included in the list and would appreciate it if you can recommend my podcast to Buzzfeed.
What is it?
For the fourth year, BuzzFeed is asking people to tell them about the podcasts they absolutely love and feel deserve more recognition for this year’s BuzzFeed Podcast List.
According to BuzzFeed “We started the podcast list because usually we only stumble across a good one by accident or because a friend has reminded us relentlessly. From the thousands of recommendations we get each year, we whittle it down to a final list of 25 to 30 shows. Shortlisting is a fun nightmare. I listen to shows until my ears bleed and until my boss gets genuinely concerned for my welfare.”
Rules for the recommendations
BuzzFeed is seeking podcast recommendation from all categories, it can be fact or fiction, news or comedy, documentary or thriller (or anything else). They’re particularly interested in shows you feel deserve more recognition — podcasts that people probably haven’t heard of already.
They don’t mind whether it comes from a national broadcaster or it is made in someone’s bedroom!
There are just TWO rules: 1. You cannot recommend your own podcast (unfortunately, people have done this). 2. You cannot recommend a close mate’s or family member’s podcast either (it has to be a show you would listen to even if you didn’t know them). That’s it!
That’s why I am asking you to please RECOMMEND THE SEGILOLA SALAMI SHOW!
Benefits
When you send in your recommendations, your suggestions will be considered for the 2019 BuzzFeed Podcast List! As you may know, Buzzfeed is a pretty popular platform and getting listed on it will boost the visibility of my podcast The Segilola Salami Show and in turn, help the guests of my podcast.
