My little human recently ‘discovered’ planes and monster trucks and the likes and I made a mental note to explore how I can fuel her passion. Then coincidentally, I find out about the RAF Museum and their campaign to promote using the London Underground network to get to their location and I just had to collaborate with them.

RAF Museum’s YouTube Page

On their YouTube page, the RAF Museum mentions that “from Monday 6 February 2017 major landscaping works will start at our London site, as part of our preparations for the Centenary commemorations of the foundation of the Royal Air Force in 2018.

As a result, there’s going to be a lot of parking restrictions.

Check out the video below to see how long it would take you to get there from central London

Things to see and do

The Royal Air Force Museum London offers a fun, enthralling day out for the whole family , and, best of all, admission is free.

With over 100 aircraft on site, nowhere else in London enables you to get close to so many historic and ground-breaking aircraft without paying an entrance fee.

There is much to intrigue, thrill and educate:

  • Be amazed by our stunning new exhibition, First World War in the Air.
  • Marvel at the life-sized model of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter jet – the only place in the world where it is on display.
  • Listen to Winston Churchill give his ‘Battle of Britain’ speech to a fearful nation from his 10 Downing Street Office.
  • Check out the ‘Bomb Bay’ television underneath our gigantic Vulcan Bomber.
  • Discover the amazing heroes, heroines and trailblazers who have contributed so much to the development of flight and the RAF.

Check out their website for the full list of things you can do and plan a virtual tour too.
