Father’s Day 2021 Superhero Craft Kit – Product Review

Father’s day 2021 happens to be on Sunday June 20 and if you have young children, then you need to check out my Father’s Day 2021 Superhero Craft Kit – Product Review.

The other day, I was asked by My Mini Maker if my 6 year old daughter would be interested in reviewing their Superhero themes craft kit as a Father’s day gift idea. I will be honest and say that I was hesitant. My daughter is 6 going on 16 and very independent. She loves doing things on her own and derives so much pleasure when she sees the finished product. So I was hesitant in saying yes to the review. I didn’t want my daughter to review a product that was better suited to younger kids or needed extensive parental support as she might not find it an enjoyable activity.

When I shared my reservations with the team at My Mini Maker, they were quick to reassure me that

“when we have tested it with older kids, they have taken the lead with the activities. There are a combination of written instructions and pictures so it should work well.”

Superhero Craft Kit – Product Review

The team at My Mini Maker know how to bring a smile to any child’s face. First off, they addressed the package to my daughter, so she knew that the delivery was for her. She had the biggest smile on her face and couldn’t wait to find out who had written to her.

She ripped the envelope open and immediately went to work. The only thing she asked me to do was to help her trace her hand print.

Included in the envelope was a bookmark with a little note to her which my daughter absolutely loved. Now she uses it as the bookmark for the middle grade book we are reading together Gobbledy by Lis Anna-Langston.

VERDICT

Definitely a 5/5 product for young and older children. Normally, I believe that there’s always room for improvement but I honestly cannot think of how this simple Superhero Craft Kit can be improved. As there are two masks, it’s perfect for Father’s Day 2021. One for my daughter and one for her dad but I have a slight inkling that my daughter would not want to share it 😀

Last week at school, my daughter’s class were reading Traction man and their home activity was to draw a Superhero or make up their own Superhero story. So my daughter was the Superhero in her own story for school.

Words really cannot explain how much fun my daughter has had with this kit and I hope that the team at My Mini Maker continue to make such lovely products for independent children.

About Kids Craft Activity Kits from My Mini Maker

Creative activity kits for 3-7 year olds that come fully prepared with simple instructions

My Mini Maker provides craft kits with everything you need to just get making. It’s a great alternative to a screen, so you can make lasting memories with your children. Each craft kit comes with four activities and simple instructions to make sure the activities are stress free. Our activities are designed by an early year’s professional, with 20 years’ experience, to ensure they are age-appropriate.

“Our activities help them practice fine motor skills such as cutting, gluing and threading, as well as helping develop children’s concentration. The sensory tray element helps expose children to different textures and develop their imaginations through play.

As parents we know crafting with children can be intimidating. You find an idea and then realise you’ve run out of glue or don’t have enough googly eyes. We take the hassle out of crafting providing you the idea and all the ingredients to make it successfully. Plus, we can ensure that the activity will be fun for your children as we test them all at home with our son Alex. Several activities haven’t made the cut when they’ve been too difficult or not fun enough to keep Alex entertained. That’s the benefit of being parents first, we understand its crucial to make the most of that.”

About Gobbledy by Lis Anna-Langston

Ever since eleven-year-old Dexter Duckworth and his brother, Dougal, lost their mom, everything has been different. But “different” takes on a whole new meaning when, one day just before Christmas (or Kissmas, as they call it), Dexter finds a golden rock in the forest that hatches into an adorable alien. Gobbledy is smarter than he seems and is lost on planet Earth. Before long, Gobbledy takes Dexter, Dougal, and their best friend Fi on an adventure of friendship, family, and loss―one that requires them all to stay out of trouble, protect Gobbledy from a shadowy group called the Planetary Society, and prepare for their school’s Winter Extravaganza Play, where Dexter has to be a dreaded Gingerbread Man.

Gobbledy is a fun-filled holiday story that adds up to two brothers, three friends, unlimited jars of peanut butter, a ketchup factory, and one little alien far, far from home.

So my daughter totally recommends that you get your own copy of this book. At bedtime on Father’s day 2021, you can both snuggle up and read the book together! Wherever you stop just as your child falls asleep, the bookmark from My Mini Maker helps you remember where you stopped.
