About Pepper Jay
Pepper Jay is the most beautiful hard-working middle-aged author, teacher, speaker, actress, music producer woman with gray hair and braids you’ve ever met in your entire life who looks forward to working with you!

Her public speaking engagements have taken Pepper Jay all over the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, speaking about performance skills to singers, actors, comics, lawyers, teachers, public speakers, etc.
How did Pepper Jay get here? Pepper Jay’s Grandmother, Lida Ardell, was Pepper’s best friend and Lida’s best friend was Sophie Tucker (“The Last of the Red Hot Mamas”). Pepper Jay literally spent her childhood and early teens in the Moulin Rouge, Coconut Grove, Brown Derby, and in Vegas casino showrooms watching the Rat Pack and other entertainers of the time.
Growing up in Hollywood, Pepper Jay began her performance career at age 5, performing in local theatre and TV sitcoms, and she tap danced and performed skits for charity events and fund-raisers.
After graduating from San Diego State University, Pepper Jay obtained a lifetime teaching credential from the State of California and taught public school, for the Los Angeles Unified School District mostly, for over a decade, teaching subjects including drama, dance, Spanish, and physical education. At Crenshaw High School, Pepper Jay was also in charge of coordinating and producing shows by the 100+ member drill team. During this time, Pepper Jay was the English as a Second Language Coordinator for a portion of the inner city in LA.
Pepper Jay continues her private performance teaching and coaching, specializing in acting, public speaking, and song performance skills. Pepper Jay is a public speaker at film festivals, schools, charity, and corporate events; sharing topics such as ‘The Power of Audience Psychology’ and ‘Peace Begins with Me!”
After graduating with a Juris Doctorate Decree from San Diego University School of Law, Pepper Jay was a practicing attorney from 1985 through 2014, specializing in fraud, contract disputes, and bankruptcy. Pepper was also the President of the Wilshire Bar Association 3 years in a row.
In 1991, Pepper Jay formalized her entertainment company, Pepper Jay Productions LLC (“PJP”) with her performance coach partner, singer songwriter John Michael Ferrari. PJP continues to produce music, film, TV, and internet shows.
PJP also produces and publishes the Actors Podcast Network, consisting of 15+ informative and entertaining shows on three channels: Actors Reporter, Actors Entertainment, and Actors Radio. The Actors Reporter shows and some of the Actors Entertainment shows are also aired on cable. One of the most popular of the PJP shows is ActorsE Chat (Actors Entertainment on IMDb), a live chat show with entertainment industry professionals.
From 1993 through 2008, Pepper Jay created and hosted the Working Actors Group, offering on camera and cold reading workshops to working actors.
Pepper Jay continues her volunteer work for organizations such as The Thailans, The Lions Club, and she is an Honorary Board Member of Art for Peace. Recently, Pepper Jay was honored by the Multicultural Motion Picture Association with the Diamond Rose Award for Entertainment (2016), honored by the City of Beverly Hills, California, and by the County of Los Angeles, California, and she has traveled to Lagos, Nigeria, as a speaker and an American Ambassador for the Art 4 Peace Awards organization.
Pepper Jay, a SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity actress, is blessed to be on both sides of the camera.
Pepper Jay lives with her animals on Water Rock Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada USA.

The Segilola Salami show is hosted by Segilola Salami who is also an author and a self publishing strategist.
