About BabyMountain FlowerBear
I was born in 1972 and spent most my young life with a fractured identity, and living in an abusive dysfunctional household. I got in a lot of trouble, and almost committed suicide. I have been given second and third chances in this life and I think I’ve been given these chances to share my story, and to help people who are living in despair. I have battled depression my whole life. I’ve been in jail, rehab, and the U.S. Navy. I’m now a professional development expert with a U.S. state agency. I have been married to my incredibly patient wife for nearly seven years. I have two stepdaughters, four dogs and five cats. My life at the moment is quite good, but I still battle daily depression – I’ll never give up this battle.

Thank you – very honest and interesting to listen too. Many thanks – I think mental health is such an important topic.
Mental health is definitely an important topic. I’m especially pleased that men come on the show to share their perspectives. For too long, we expect men to simply be strong
Thank you, Chloe

You’re very welcome. I admit, I came for the giveaway but left with …well, a warm feeling. A renewed sense of understanding for my fellow humans. A renewed sense of love I suppose. Something deep anyway.
We never can tell the effect of others on us at different points in each of our journeys. Sometimes you get hit right between the eyes when all you expected was a handshake..sometimes we feel very little when we ought to be bowled over!
This show, and me, crossed paths at the right moment in time.
Thanks.
Thank you for this very warm comment. We had a great conversation.
Hello there Sir. May I say -like many before me I’m sure – well done on your progression and successes. Long may it last and never lose momentum.
A few things you said struck a chord in me. I don’t want to go on here but my struggles in life have been different -although I tried to ‘treat’ them in a similar way. Unsuccessfully, of course.
The main struggle in my adult life has been living with a disease that confines and dictates. Not to be melodramatic or fishing for sympathy, I just wanted to give you the idea behind my relating to your words so deeply. You affected me today, you truly did.
Thanks for sharing your story. I think it’s great that you wrote it in a book. (I wonder if I should do it one day.)
I have never felt such an effect from listening to anyone talk on a show in this way. I dont make a habit of writing such comments.
You may have been through hell my friend, but now you are creating a slice of paradise with the brightness of your words.
Thank you again, Paul. I wish for you nothing but the best.
Mental Health needs to be spoken about freely without stigma x

We need more podcasts like this and more people to speak out about mental health, half the time men & women don’t realise they are suffering at all, it needs to be stigma free like any other illness.
thank you for your kind words and you are quite right, so many people are suffering without realising it. I hope my show goes a long way to help at least one person realise that they are not alone
Well said.the black dog can be beaten with support and understanding
