Rebecca Whiteway’s tips on How to start, and manage, your own website to begin working towards what you want, with a busy schedule, without burnout.

  1. Pull on my own personal experience, my own advice, as well as advice I’ve heard over the years
  2. If you want to get out of your current job, and start following a dream you may have, it is going to take everything you’ve got. You have to ask yourself; what are you willing to sacrifice to achieve your goal? How much do you want what you are working towards? If you don’t want it, you’re not going to get it. And you’ve got to keep your mind positive
  3. Building a website is easy with any of the many companies out there who do all the heavy lifting for you. Pay a fee, begin with a template, and you’re online
  4. When burnout evidently does make an unwelcome visit, remember that your body is speaking to you. Sleep, eat, or take a mental or physical break; but don’t overdo it, or you will lose that momentum
  5. Constantly surround yourself with things that keep your mind on the prize; media, music, people. Never lose sight of what you’re working for, and never stop thinking about ways to improve your brand, and your reach

  • Hello Rebecca.
I found your name written by your grandparents on the red printed strip under the lovely wooden doll crib they made for you. It says their Rebeccas’s birthday was June 12th. 1999.
If this is you, I think you would love to have it back some day. I picked it up in the recycle bin at 30 Roehampton in Toronto, a new condo building at the time. My two grand daughters have used it and are now old enough to part with it. I’ve used it to house plants but am short of space. I’d be happy to hold it for you. Maybe one of these days your own (future) daughter might like something made by their great grandparents. It would be quite special.
My contact is Claudette.weeks@gmail.com if you are interested at all. Otherwise it will be going to Salvation Army thrift shop. (Sorry about that. ?). Take care. I enjoyed seeing the photography you posted. ??
