Happy 2018 everyone 😀 Hope your year has been going very well? Well, the lovely folks at Mud & Bloom have asked me to offer my blog readers the opportunity to win one nature crafts and gardening activity box for their children aged 3 – 8 years old. As a mum myself, I am quite excited to be hosting this competition. I am a firm believer that children need to spend more time outdoors playing than sitting indoors with an electronic device their every awake moment. This is especially important in the winter months and you can find out more about why it is for kids to be outdoors by clicking here.
Without much ado, here’s the competition

From the owner of Mud & Bloom
Hello, my name is Anja, I love the outdoors and gardening is one of my hobbies. I have two young children and, despite living in the city, I love being out and about with my kids: be it gardening, crafting or just spending time in nature.
I left full time work a year and a half ago and enrolled on an RHS Horticulture Course. My original plan was to set up a gardening business, something that I could do alongside looking after my boys and something I was passionate about. I began writing about children and nature and posting craft and gardening activities on my blog, and was overwhelmed by the response I got from other parents on social media who wanted to find ways of getting their children into nature despite living busy lives.
I came up with the idea for Mud & Bloom subscription boxes after I subscribed to a couple of children’s monthly craft boxes. I loved the concept: it was great having everything packaged up and ready to create something with my boys, and they loved receiving them each month! I looked around to see if I could find a similar activity based on gardening or nature and was really surprised there was nothing out there. So I ditched my garden business idea and worked on developing a Mud & Bloom Box instead. It’s been a slow process as my children are very young and have been at home full time with me for a lot of the time, I’ve really enjoyed it though and I’m really pleased with the results! I hope the boxes help you and your children to learn, explore and enjoy nature together!

My grandchildren LOVE crafting. It doesn’t matter what we do, coloring, using construction paper, playing with blocks, building something, picking up rocks, etc. I love spending time with them and helping them to learn about different things in this world around us.
awwwww that’s so lovely. Your grandkids are very lucky to have you 😀 thanks for stopping by
